Need Christmas Suggestions

Last year for Christmas I bought my 14 year old a Moisin. It was a great hit! Now he wants another old military rifle for this year. I need suggestions for another CHEAP gift.

Prefer to stay under $150. Anybody seen anything around Knox that would fit the bill?

I would stay away from the Steyrs. They are cheap rifles, but they have expensive ammo.

I'm not sure what to suggest that is within your price range. You may be able to find a decent German or Spanish Mauser, Carcano, or the Japanese one, can't remember the name now though.

Can it be a handgun? One that you legal own but that he gets to shoot with you. If so, look into getting him a CZ vz 82. 9mm Makarov from the Czech military and police. Very nice C&R handguns. You could also get him a Nagant revolver to go along with the Mosin Nagant. A good pair for sure.

I am kind of thinking along the lines of a Nagant revolver. I haven't seen any around in the last few months though. Everybody had them when I didn't need one. Holler if anyone sees nice ones locally at a decent price please. May have to hit a show between now and then to find it.

Samco Global has some Yugo 24/47 Mausers for $170. If you had asked this just a few years back I would've suggested a K31 in a heartbeat, but it seems they're going for $250-$300 now...wasn't long ago they were at or under $100.
