If a rifle has no threaded barrel or flash suppressor, no detachable magazine, no nights sights, would it be considered a sporting rifle and then be able to be imported?

BATF has absolute authority over what THEY consider to meet the 'sporting purposes' test for importation. Basically, you submit a sample, and they decide how 'evil' it looks. If it's too 'evil' in appearance, it doesn't get to come in.

Yeah, I read 126 pages of the ATF's report on "assault weapons". I really think the ATF should be done away with. They are wasting our tax money, hell we pay for them to waste our money.

If I can pay a tax to make a short barreled rifle, why can't I pay a tax to import what Canada deems Un-restricted?

Anyone want to start an online petition to repeal the import ban?

A Tavor. In Canada it's Un-restricted. Hell they are going to be able to import a RFB from the US. They already have approval. Craaaaazy
