Abandoned Buildings in Middle TN or East TN?

A lot of the old vacation homes in Elkmont (Great Smoky Mountains NP) as well as what's left of the Wonderland Hotel are scheduled to be torn down within the next 5 years. I hiked back in there and took a few pictures this summer. Also there's a nice writeup about it here: Endangered Species: Elkmont Cabins

I should add that there is a stiff fine ($5,000, I think) for exploring the interior of any of these buildings.

This is what's left of the home at the edge of the Wonderland Hotel complex where the hotel staff lived.

I could be wrong, that's just the number that popped in my head. I actually explored the hotel several years ago, before they put the signs up...kinda creepy, I kept thinking it'd be a good place to film a horror flick.

I like how a lot of the chimneys (and even the steps of the hotel, look closely) were made out of the local river stones.

That's something that is gonna have to be checked out before it is demolished, that's for sure.
