I love the tanto blade without the serations, its almost imposible to find knives without serations on tanto points

Nice! I recently picked up a Benchmade Mini Griptilian for both myself (in black) and for my wife (in pink) and am really taken in with the quality of the knives for the price you pay. I intend to pick up another larger Benchmade knife at some point now, and had been eying the exact one that you have.

If you like th griptilian you'll love the presidio. It's obviously heavier being aluminum but it's awesome for EDC especially for defensive purposes. I really like the scales, they are super grippy. You just slide your thumb in your pocket and out comes the knife! Plus it's nasty sharp!

The only complaint I have had against mine was the screws holding the belt clamp kept coming out. It was rather frustrating for a time, but it was nothing a little bit of loc-tite couldn't solve.

Haven't notice that on mine, but I'll keep an eye on that. I have only had it for a little less than a month

I love Benchmades! I have quite a few, I have noticed with my Presido, that the top of the blade was very sharp also..... Was shredding my pockets. I have softened the top spline with some wet grit sand paper just to make it slightly more comfy to carry! Good luck! Great knife! Best of Luck!

I would also suggest the "Blue tool" that has all of the the bits for all the different screws. Yes mine have come loose too, so I used the blue loctite myself... Works very well... Great observation! I thought I was the only one!

What do you guys think of that axis lock on the benchmade? Is it as stong as a good quality lock liner?

its Rock Solid! it has a positive lock open and closed. Who needs assisted opening with the axis lock, its fast and smooth. I had the same question before owning one, but I love it.
