Not your average milsurps

Here you go fellas, these are sort of milsurps (copies at least), and stuff you don't see everyday! Top one is a sterling sporter (copy of sterling smg, 9mm), the middle one is a ppsh-41, with the 71 round drum on it (7.62X25), the bottom is a pps43c pistol, which was a later, smaller version of the ppsh-41 (stock is pinned and welded so it won't unfold unfortunately, 7.62X25)

Price of ammo is great....tearing apart the entire gun and cleaning the heck out of it because the ammo is corrossive...well that kind of sucks. Fun to shoot though!

Runs good, just a pain to clean. Also tends to eat up buffers after a while, but they're cheap, and easy to replace, and it goes quite a while before it does. It is neat, but it's pretty much a spray from the hip, kind of heavy and awkward to do a whole lot of aiming with.

I had to read the description to learn what was what while my 11 year old son comes behind me and names them off right from the top of his head. He loves Soviet era weapons! Awesome PPSH41! My son envies you!

Did you find somewhere that had the pps43c pistol in stock or did you have to special order it?

Ordered it from dominion outdoors in VA. IO is making them presently, but I haven't really run across all that many of them, and they had a heck of a price on the two they had. They are classified as a 10 inch barreled pistol, but if anyone wanted to make an SBR out of one, everything is there, they just put a roll pin through the stock on one side and welded it so it won't unfold. Personally, I don't want to bad enough to pay the $200 tax on this one, but it would be neat.

He made it easy, and pretty cheap to boot, didn't he? Get him a nice one that he can clean the cosmoline out of by himself, with you watching of course. It will help him know how to break it down later, and he will consider it his much more.
