So I got my Christmas present early!

The washing machine that came with my house crapped out yesterday on me. So after a fun Thanksgiving of draining water from the damn thing, I decided to just buy a new one. Home Depot had a good deal on a Maytag with free delivery and free haul away of the old one so at least it worked out.

I was VERY tempted to have a Clark Griswold style meltdown since this is the 3rd appliance I've had to fix or replace since I bought this house in June, but I thought about it and had a big "I'm thankful" moment. Both the AC and the oven that broke previously were covered under warranty, the washing machine was a great deal and should last for a good while, and I had the money in the bank to buy it without dipping into savings.

So while it wasn't a GREAT Thanksgiving, and it's not what I wanted for Christmas, I'm really thankful I was able to handle it. I hope no one takes this the wrong way, just kind of my way of saying "Things could always be worse, so make the best of it."

1Thes.5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Good for you! As it says, "IN every thing," not "FOR every thing." Sounds like you have this Thanksgiving thing down, brother.

Good point. Going into the holidays with a thankful attitude makes a big difference. I was hoping there was gonna be a picture of a tank or Desert Eagle .50 AE or somthing. Good time for the Washing machine to go out though with all the sales today.

Thanks. :D Pretty much what I thought too BW. 400 dollar washer for 250 is a pretty good deal. Didn't even have to leave the house for it lol
