First Time Hunting - a Few Questions

I have been wanting to hunt for a while and have been doing a lot of research. I finally got all the basic equipment (camo, rifle, blind, range finder, blaze orange etc) and the time to head out over the next 4 days.

I don't own any hunting land so I was going to try and head out to the Cheatham WMA and set up a ground blind. I just had a few questions.

1. I have a hunting licenses, big gun firearm permit and the type 97 WMA big game permit. I believe that is all I need?

2. Cheatham WMA is buck only during firearm season right? (just making sure I am reading the hunting guide right)

3. Can you look at the map and suggest a potential place to set up? or anyone with experience there. I haven't been able to do any scouting but I have been looking on google earth for somewhere with trails into a field, etc.

Thanks a bunch, have a great holiday.

Not sure of the area but if I was hunting any type of public land in a blind I would somehow attach some orange to my blind just to be on the safe side.

I was thinking about the safety of this as well. It has a 3x3 (inch) square of orange on each side; however, I think I will get an orange cap for the top of the blind as well. Thanks!
