I am new to this site and am told by another user that if what I need actually exsists someone here should know. I am looking for a mount to use on an old Stevens model 87A to mount a larger scope. The original Weaver (i think it is a W3) has yellowed and the old eyes using it are not far behind. The mount has 2 screws to the side of the round reciever. I would like to get an original style mount that is taller to accept larger tubes and optics. I do not really want to modify the gun if it is not absolutly necessary. Anyone have any ideas or know where I can find a mount that might work?

I see you have no responses, may need to post a closeup.

I'm not familiar with that gun; it only has some kind of side bolt-on scope adapter?

No 3/8" grooves or tapped holes for adapter?
