I never really understood the Zing. Whats with the rippled blade? I'd go with the Leek, although I don't really like the blade shape. Look at the Skyline.

Gerber also makes some nice inexpensive folders imo. I have a Tanto Evo and a Crusader and you can't beat them for under $20 each.

I carry a Leek G10 when not at work, its a decent blade length and non serrated.Rather fast to deploy if you get one with the Speedsafe. They are a little pricey but I think they are worth the extra dime.

These are the 3 that I have,Leek is the middle one,the other 2 are CRKT.Out of the 3 of them I like the Leek the best.

I lean toward the leek design but I like the flipper on the zing, which I can get new for $25 "private sale" just looking for decent daily user. I 've got a CRKT Mo'skeeter right now which is a decent little knife for $10 but it has the serrated blade which I don't really care for.

My son loves his Zing. Some graphite and a few hundred flips later the flipper works well. The scalloped blade is just for looks, but we both like it. I have a Tanto Blur in my pocket. Can't say enough good things about the American Made Kershaws.

I carried a Leek for quite a while and I really liked it, but I was always afraid that I was gonna break off the tip. I decided to get something with a beefier blade so I now have a Spyderco Delica 4.

Same here, I love the Leek but the tip does seem like it could be a bit delicate. I haven't had any problems so far though. I just ordered a Lone Wolf Cheyenne for those days when I feel like I want to carry something a little beefier. I intend to keep carrying my Leek most of the time though. I'm even thinking about getting another Leek with either a Damascus, composite, or S30V blade in the future, maybe Santa will bring me one.

I think until after Xmas I'll save the $25 toward the Ripple I like both but the Mo' skeeter could be my EDC beater (really not a bad knife just don't like serated blade) and the ripple for my "sunday go to meetin' " knife
