Nobody will borrow my American money now for more than about 1% per year.

Once deflation shifts to unsustainable inflation, nobody will pay me anything at all to borrow it, but everyone will demand more of it for the same products and services that were previously cheaper.

At some point it makes a lot more sense to have a wheelbarrow full of guns than a wheelbarrow full of money -- for more than one reason.

Yeah, thx. Only reason I made the orig. comment was that IMHO, unless you already have a well stocked gun cabinet, better to wait till you can afford that next gun rather than trade a good one away for it. And that's during normal times, which these are increasingly NOT.

Good point. However, I do think that a stabilization period is less than 6 years out. You are correct, investing in firearms are a safe bet. The reliable ones will always have a value. The US $$ however, has been in flux. I would rather have $1000 worth of guns/gold/women then $1000 in USD as an investment. That's not due to our current spending as a union, however a symptom of a wasteful and unappreciative culture. Sorry I came off that way.
