If I'm using a paddle holster it's usually right at 3 o'clock, but I mostly EDC with a Crossbreed Supertuck at 3:30 - 4:00.

Between 3:00 and 4:00. Although I carry so many hours a day, everyday, that I have transitioned to Don Hume on the belt holsters for my carry guns. I think it is the model 710, but I have one for every single carry gun in my rotation. Also, I'm not particularly concerned about printing or flashing the weapon, so maximum concealment is not important to me. When it is, I will use either Don Hume, Galco, or Bianchi holsters. I also have several Kydex versions from Uncle Mikes to a couple of the smaller "custom" makers. I have not been happy with Kydex IWB's of any brand though. I'm not crazy about putting guns in Kydex for some reason, don't know why, because I don't really baby my carry guns, they get banged around all day long.

My slightly increasing pudginess has absolutely nothing to do with my decision to move to on the belt!

I carry at about 5:00 Glock 27 in a Don Humme IWB.

4:30 -5:00 works with a 27 in Don Hume but 3:30 - 4:30 has been better for 1911s.

130 to 230 is what I find best. I never think about it when I carry just behind my front pocket.

You sir have clearly never seen the high side of 250 lbs.

For a big gun (1911, full-size M&P, etc.) 4 to 5 o’clock with the grips laying flat against my body instead of sticking out.

For a J-frame I like it at 11 o’clock in the front for a cross draw.

I've found that a full size pistol rides best, and hides best, at around 4:00PM EST, with a 25 degree cant. Of course, this requires the right holster design. My IWB holster is easily adapted to OWB use, via the use of accessory OWB hard loops.
