No, all fixed blades are not "considered" a dagger.

Any knife except "switchblade" with blade under 4" is legal to carry, fixed or folding, double edged or single. (Except on school property, where really by TN statute ANY knife is illegal and in federal buildings where 2.5" and above are considered deadly weapons).

The only gray area in TCA is that "blade" is not defined -- some knives that have sharpened area of 4" or less but have more than 4" of metal between tip and handle. I'd be reluctant to carry one like that.

Btw, I carry a (I guess) dagger most every day, AFAIK generally defined as having sharp point for stabbing (double edged seems to be optional). Not sure diff between dagger, dirk, snee, etc, though.

This puppy IS double edged.

Looks exactly like my gerber mark I or II from way back (I forget which is mine and which is my wifes). Heh, my damascus 6 inch switchblade is right out, eh? *That* is all I need, the cops taking a $400 knife from me and throwing me in jail to boot... "Yea, you got a permit to carry a gun but not a KNIFE" is how the law was explained to me, which is dumb, but thats the rule.
