1911 troubles in MidTN, wll buy lunch for assstance

I have recently installed a new Brazos hammer, sear spring etc, but am having troubles. I live in Nashville and will buy lunch for someone to look at it and tell me what I did wrong installing the parts. Will dry fire, but will not when in full battery. The hammer wll not fire??????

Did you change the disconnector?

Ill have time free tomorrow. Probably something got messed up when reinstalling the sear spring.

if it fires when NOT in battery, then you definately have the disconector installed incorrectly. if it is an 80 series model it can be somewhat tricky to install all those little internal safety pieces. i am in the memphis area and would be glad to help if you ever come through here.

I apologize for not getting back earlier, I've been on call. I dis-assembled the pistol again and took my time putting it back together. It was the placement of the three leaf sear spring.

Thank you all so much. After tearing down the pistol as much as I have. I know am starting to understand how the whole process works.

Don't trust me on this (disclaimer clause here) because I don't want to act like I know what I'm doing when it comes to the range.
