Airport screening, going wayyyy too far.

Not only have they thought about it... they've done it... a recent attack in Saudi Arabia was done with explosives hidden inside the body.

Back in 86 I broke my right femur, they inserted a rod through the top of the femur at the hip, inside the femur all the way to the knee, a big chunk of stainless steel that is about 16" long and slightly smaller in diameter than a dime. Months later I went to pick up my uncle at the airport. This was 1986 so I could go to the plane then to meet him but I had to walk through the metal detectors. They sent my crutcher through the x-ray scanner but I walked through undetected. I wanted to tell them I just got through with a pound of steel inside my leg but even then I thought they would harrass me if I did. Anyway, I thought a loyal dedicated terrorist who's going to commit suicide could have explosives inplanted inside their body, maybe to even look like some orthopedic device. That rod I had in my leg was big enough if filled with explosives could create a large hole in the airplane at 35K and you can easly get through the detectors with it. I'm sure the terrorists have already thought of this, and the body cavity method.

Odds are that some day a terrorist will take a plane down and there's nothing we can do to stop it, violating innocent peoples rights and treating them like criminals isn't going to stop them. Actually, I bet the terrorists feel like they score a victory everytime they scare Americans enough to forfiet their rights.

I'm not surprised. So what now, a regular x-ray scan to see inside the body?

My idea is no scans or pat downs, we invent some strong radio signal that wil detonate explosives, everybody walks individually through a blast proof room with a big garbage disposal in the floor, they hit you with the signal and if you have exploading panties, BOOM. Then they rake you in the disposal, rinse the room out and start the line again.

Another TSA Outrage | RedState

Yeah, that is right, they even force their stupid little rules on US Soldiers returning from War. Yes, that includes confiscating NAIL CLIPPERS, from a Soldier carrying an M4 carbine and M9 sidearm. Brilliant.

Hey, hey. Ho, ho. The TSA has got to go!

Well, at least they're not being falsely accused. They really are f**king stupid.

let the individual airlines handle security. If they do a bad job of it people will find someone else to travel with.

The damn .gov does not need to be involved in our lives. Certainly not to the extent they think they do.

Interesting Blog with a good summary of what is going on:

Thanks Dubya, et al, for this monster.

You're right, he started it. Back when he pushed for the Patriot Act and the Dept. of Homeland Security, before Obama was even a thought, alot of people were defending these programs because they were in panic mode. Although at the time I personally wasn't worried about my rights being abused, because I wasn't a Middle Easterner, I did see a danger in these programs especially if/when some leftest-socialist became POTUS and a Dem controlled Congress was in power. The potential for gross abuse on the Constitutional rights of American citizens were far greater. In reality, the mear existence of TSA, DHS, and the PA is a gross assualt on the Constitution.

The first time I heard "Homeland Security" I knew we were ****ed.

Honestly the whole use of the term Homeland is what creeped me out the most in the beginning and painted a picture of what was to come. Seems awfully similar to Fatherland, Motherland, Mother Russia... etc. Not a fan of it. Wasn't then, am not now.

My feelings exactly. The term has just a little too much propaganda in it.

I haven't heard Obama try to roll any of it back. Obama recently gave a speech supporting all of this crap. I haven't heard the ACLU step up to the plate on this. Hell, even Hillary says it's too much:

No. Not fine with ANY crap that damages the Constitution, no matter which J@CK@SS PARTY does it.

Wings of the same vulture.

You are right, O has been too silent.

But, I give credit where it is due, and deserved. The Patriot Act was a total lack of Patriotism.

Here is my idea, HCP should be allowed to carry on a plane (Myth busters already proved the explosive decompression bring down a plane to be false), and a bomb sniffing dog.

My Two cents,

Daryl

And what makes somebody with a HCP any less dangerous than your average law abiding citizen who doesn't have a permit? Exactly how many adults are failing the extensive training required to get a HCP?

I'd make the argument that the average TN citizen who is 21+ who wishes to carry a firearm is no more dangerous than the average citizen with an HCP.

Hvy you are fine with this crap now you blame Bush. Your name oughta be Obama.

The Bush administration may have started these programs but his administration can't even begin to compare to the danger and damages the Obama Marxist administration is doing right now. I actually believe this newest assualt on the Constitution with the TSA Gestopo is much more about controling people and the ego of Janet Napolatano than it is about airport security. There's also that little deal with former HS cheif Chertoff and his interest in the company that makes the scanners.

I know people already have reservations and have paid the airlines for flights this holiday season but i really wish enough people cared about the Bill Of Rights to not make any new reservations, enough to severly hurt the airlines, but sadly enough there's too many gutless sheep who are not willing to sacrifice a vacation for their rights.

The opt out day folks may very well cause enough damage to solve this once and for all... I saw an amazing number... It takes about 15 minutes to screen 100 passengers with the new 'porn machines'... it takes about 6 hours to screen that same group with grope searches... So 10 or 15 people per major airport refusing the porn process, getting groped, then filing complaints, and/or criminal complaints against TSA agents could grind screening to a halt tomorrow.

If that happens, it will make the airlines hurt a lot more than if those 10 or 15 people had chosen not to fly.

I know some of you may think the WND is a wack job site and maybe it is, but on some of their stories they are correct and accurate. I think this is one of them.

Well I hope that works but knowing the ego of the TSA Gestopo,(those in charge), they will do everything they can to win. Like I said I believe it's not about security now, it's about control of the public.

I heard another idea of protest, it's discusting but hey, you're already being humiliated and embarrassed by the goons taking porno photo's and fondling you so why not just, Fart in their Face. I'm actually serious. Eat raw vegtables and beans 8 hours before going to the airport, hold it all back as much as possible until the security molesting begins and let er rip. They are being crude and discusting at what they are doing to you so give it right back to them.

The people who join in the "opt out day" should demand and see the agents change and use new gloves.

Our government making people line up for unreasonable searches so they will be safe reminds me of a government making people line up for showers so they will be clean.
