now the long wait begins

I literally just walked out the door of the fingerprint place. Has anyone applied for their carry permit in the last several weeks? Any idea on turn around time?

These days it seems to be averaging 2-3 weeks.

Just did the same thing! Took 12 days including a weekend! It will be there fast enough! Trust me!

Oh jeez ok, that's that bad at all! I'm about as excited to get the HCP in the mail as I was when I was 12 and Christmas morning was hours away. No matter how quickly it gets here I'm going to be counting the minutes!

3 weeks for me.

Tip: Go ahead & apply for a duplicate permit in case yours gets lost or misplaced. It's only 5 bucks, but it can take several weeks to go through. Much better to have one now, than to be unable to carry while you wait up to 90 days for a replacement permit.

Mine took 14 days and my son's 21 days. He applied a couple of weeks later.

Congrats! TN has been getting the permits processed in a reasonable time this year. Now they need to speed up the renewal process.
