Interesting but kinda pricey. I bought a bunch of strike anywhere matches and just put them in old film containers.

British Lifeboat Matches are great, but they take some getting used to if you've not used them before. They burn super hot, and even underwater, but they burn for about 10-12 seconds and then generally go out. You definitely need to make sure you have your fire prepared with appropriate tinder and kindling. You've got to have the sprecific striker as well.

REI carries these as well, for a little bit less, actually. I think it's two boxes of 50 for $4.95 or so.
