I think Tennessee's young O-line has been their biggest problem all season long. But I think the team is better with Bray. They seem to have a much better attitude. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like after Bray makes a mistake the team comes right back out and gets back to business. But when Simms made a mistake, the team just laid down and quit. I don't really know, but I think that maybe the problem with Simms was less about his performance and more about his attitude.

I agree, the line is a problem. But they get better with every game.

On the thing about Bray making a mistake and the team keeps trying, I see it. It seems like the vols would stay in it as long as they were within a score after that, not so much.

But I'd argue that is more about coaching than the QB. Both sides of the ball quit, not just the offense.

I like Bray better for the long term, and he sure has looked a lot better, but Simms is taking more heat than he deserves.

On the other hand... I do appreciate that football is competitive and you don't want someone playing who doesn't think they are the best but with the way Simms mouthed off you have to wonder about his decision making. I'd wager it is easier to make a fully informed decision when talking to the press than when being greeted by a 300 pound lineman but he failed with the press. So maybe his decisions on the field aren't that great.

I think Derek will get it done in the long run but I doubt he'll ever accomplish as much as Phil.
