AR parts kit, Trigger?

I need your opinion on what lower parts kit to purchase. More importantly, what kind of trigger? I have read mixed reviews on the Rock River 2 stage and someone suggested a timney. Thoughts?

Buy a DMPS parts kit, they are about the best for the money. The RRA two stage trigger is going to have a lot of take up compared to a standard trigger. They are lighter but they do have more travel.

I started with a DPMS trigger kit, upgraded the hammer to a TiN hammer and upgraded the springs to a pair of match grade springs. So far it's been money, not all that much of a noticable difference. The upgrades just make me feel better about the "custom" AR aspect of putting together the jigsaw puzzle that is an AR.

To me the best way is to go feel a few for yourself. You will soon find something you like.

I have a few different ones if you'd like to meet sometime. Im sure others in our area also have some you can test fire.

x3 on the Springfield trigger, and while you use it save up for a Geissele. I had a hard time justifying the money, but damn it is worth it.

I buy all my components seperately so I don't double buy anything.

15 Minute Practical Trigger Job for the AR-15

Already linked it to the OP in a PM. That is an easy trigger job, I do a few more things on top of that one to get a really nice trigger on an AR. The triggers on an AR are among the most simple ones out there. This makes tuning them a bit easier than most but it also make what you do more important because when you only have a couple of parts to tweak it is easy to mess things up.
