Do any of you all have an opinion on a Home Surveillance Camera Systems? I don't know much about this stuff and it all just blends together. I'd just as soon have an indoor camera pointed out a window than have an outdoor system.

I'd like to have something like this Logitech but have read too many conflicting reviews.

One guy just told me to use one of these.

Krull, do you remember which one you got from Sams?

jeffmem, I was wanting something like the Logitech WiLife offers.

Looking for something reliable,

plug and play for a PC

Motion-activated

delete the video file if I don't want it

I don't care about Internet or Smart Phone Access

Just want to have proof if something was done by someone

I have a couple of panasonic BLC140a outdoor IP cameras (approx $200ea) and use zoneminder running on an old linux box to monitor them for motion. The cameras themselves have "record on motion" built in but they dont archive the video for very long. This service vitamin d : home looks promising if you are running windows. Its free for one camera.
