need a good pistol scope for my rifle

i am building a good scout gun and i need a good pistol scope to mount on top of it. it is a marlin 336sc in 30 30. i am looking for something like 2-7 or just a 1x if they make it. anybody have any good scopes for a decent price, i don't want to spend $200 on a $200 gun. lol

I bought a Millet 2.5 from Midway about a year ago for scout gun mounting and it has worked very well. Think it was about 60 bucks. Nice and clear and can be mounted with low rings. Might check and see if they still carry it.

Just bought a Nikon 2x for a Ruger MII. The scope is very sharp and clear. I can read "Callaway" on a golf ball and then punch holes in it at 50 yards. I think i paid $170.
