If you get an XD9 subcompact then consider getting Pearce Grip Extensions. For another $10 plus shipping you turn a pretty good gun into an even better one. It will fit a lot more comfortably in your hand and conceal just as well. I love my XD, it is my primary carry pistol.

Disagree that it conceals as well.

I even sanded down the extension to the bare blunt minimum, still stuck out back of my shirt more at 4-5 o'clock.

Grip length is critical factor and I'm pretty darn serious about concealment, inch makes a big diff. Plus, I can hit with it about the same as with my XD service model anyway, so plenty good enough.

YMMV, of course.

XD9sc is a nice guy and I carry it but if you want something slim and not so heavy the Karr 9mm is tops and it is very accurate. But it does not hold mega rounds like the XD so aim well when you shoot.
