Man, you all are using big time overkill.

.22 works fine. Might take a second shot now and then if you hit obliquely on skull.

Remember, one of the main probs with zeds are that there are often so friggin MANY of them.

Start with a 10/22 and 3 or 4 25-round mags, with couple spare bricks.

Long after all these shotgunners and big bore riflemen are worn down and eaten, you just keep knocking them down at 30-50 yards away.

I agree you need lots of capacity, but prefer an AR or Mini. No reason to wait until they get within 100 yards, especially if it's a big hoard of them. I also agree with head shots. Anything else spoils the meat :(

I agree with OS and Mike G. I'd sit on my roof and just make eyeball shots with my .22. A suppressed .22 or .223 would be ideal. I'd save the big caliber stuff for later. If you had a good supply of powder, primers, and bullets you could put a brass catcher on a .223 and put a nice dent in the population lol.

If I had to be running around somewhere I'd like a Glock 17 with an extended mag, some spares, and an AR. Shotgun is good but even a quick reload would get you killed in a swarm. AR you can carry alot more ammo and still move quick.

Then I'm in trouble!!!

I'll use my AK, my Glocks, Shotgun, Shovels, Bats, Knives, Explo-zives (ie I'd make a few pipe bombs), Weedeater, Lawnmower blades and neighbors. Why neighbors you ask?? In a pinch, you toss your neighbor (aka fresh meat) to the Zombies which allows you a short window of oppertunity to escape or aquire another weapon. Anything goes in The United Zombie States of what used to be America.
