The end to a great weekend with a pic!

Well after a great weekend that included a gun show and a couple of great dates with my bride, the weekend had to come to an end.

But just before it closes, I am getting a rare gift tonight....My castle all to myself! My bride had to go to a meeting at work and that left me to fend for myself.

So here are the makings of a great night in.

1 lb New York strip.

Couple of fingers worth of J.Walker black.

New Vegas for the entertainment. Since I am the only one home the home theater will be kicking.

Protection by Smith and Wesson...What would a post on a gun board be without a gun.

Ruin? Enhanced! A bit of garlic, kosher salt, a bit of black pepper, and some Worcester. Just a quick spritz of the worcester right before it hits the grill.

I agree with everything except the garlic and the worcestershire......i good steak needs nothing more than kosher salt and coarse ground pepper.

I'm offended that anyone would think me such a philistine as to even mention A-1.

It's bad luck to sit with your J-frame pointed at you. :)

True but, how else am I going to catch a glimpse of those pretty golden sabers nestled in their home?

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed.

How are you enjoying New Vegas by the way? I am about through with it. It is a lot longer than Fallout 3, but it is enjoyable.

Loving Vegas, I'm a bit disappointed at the gaps in the maps, but all in all it is a great game. I'd guess that I am 75% through it.

Before I enhance any steak with anything after it comes off the grill, at home or a restaurant. I have to taste it first. Any steak should be able to pass a taste test with out anything added first. (talking beyond salt, pepper or anything it is cooked with)

I have no problems with enhancements as I am known to over do it myself, however I normally put that off to the side so I can have some with out as well.

When you say that, you mean the main questline right? I understood there was over 100 hours of gameplay.

Man oh man I hate seeing store bought meat now or even commercial meat at restaraunts. I am so used to eating fresh off the farm beef that has been vaccuum sealed and prior to being cut up left to hang 14 days at the slaughter house. I hate eating out at restaraunts now because the steaks are not any good compared to what I put in my freezer every year and the hamburgers are 10X better than a restaraunt.

I have wasted 70 plus hours on it.

+1 on the pepper. I prefer the peppercorn mix. Nothing like freshly ground pepper for steaks and burgers. I can't bring myself to use any kind of salt on my steaks.
