Whom Do I Sue?

I have had a subscription to the Wall St Journal for probably 10 years or more and read it longer than that. My parents were avid NYTimes fans, being left wing liberals and all. I couldnt stand the paper after about my first year in college and stopped reading it.

So this morning the paper carrier made a mistake and threw a NYTimes on my lawn instead of the Journal. I hesitated to bring it in the house. I actually read the editorials. Today they endorse Hillary (surprise) and McCain (usually a good reason to vote for someone else).

But the content of the editorials, their smarmy comments and unsupported assertions, made me gag on my grits. If anyone ever wanted to see left wing fantasy in action, go look at the Times editorial page.

Yea, I'm much afraid over what I see forming. The sucky part is that I don't have ANY extra cash to stock up on guns and ammo. My consolation is that I've got enough components to reload for 38/357 and 44 mag to last me about 5 years worth of shooting at my current rate, probably twenty years if I back off a bunch. Sadly, the closest thing I have to a zombie rifle now is the fire-breathing Mosin. Let's hope there are only five zombies, or that they move very slowly at the least. I take forever reloading that gun!

I've thought about that. At this point I've still got about $19-20,000 in business debt, so I think whatever I've got will go to that, minus a spam can or two of 7.62x54r!

Or you could put some barriers up in the form of a funnel, forcing them to come at you single file. One shot from the Mosin should take out a few of them bastards now. :D

My Dad has a subscription to the NY Times (it was a freebie he got from some deal they had going...if you bought this certain book you got a free NYT subscription...he took it just so it would cost them the $$$to send to him) I have read it from time to time. If you stay away from the "hard news" stuff it's a damn good read. They have great articles on Science, the arts, etc etc. Their regular news coverage is pretty heavily skewed to the left (obviously).

It's really a shame. The Times used to be considered the paper of record and had a sterling reputation now that has sadly been diminished. I majored in mass communications in college and have taken more than a few journalism classes. I was always taught that a good newspaper story tells you who, what, when, where, and why. The reader should be free to assume their own opinion.

These days are gone now. You have a group of people who feel that they are the arbiter of what should and should not be (publishers and editors) and they feel it is their mission to educate the great un-washed masses. I grew up in Massachusetts and have a lot of friends that are in the academic and media fields. It's unbelivable the gall they have, they truly believe they have a calling to change what they perceive to be serious ills in our society. They are my friends and I love 'em but when they start spouting that rhetoric and crap I just smile and start talking about my guns and how much I dig them. I really, really like making them squirm.

McCain was already a lost cause. Look at his stance last year on immigration.

zombies, or that they move very slowly at the least.

zombies have very poor motor skills, a Mosin might work fine on them provided you can reload with efficiency.

I agree that now that the NYT has backed McCain I can't vote for him, not sure I was going to but he is out for sure now.

Gotta also love that Billary claims she has experience from her years in the white house.

If that is not the most asinine thing I have ever heard I do not know what is. I mean my

wife has worked in customer service for years, being married to her does not make me qualifed to do that. Can you imagine someone applying for a job their spouse did and claiming that as a reason why they should be considered a candidate? You would be laughed out of the door.

If by some chance she does get elected I am very scared for this country and our rights.

McCain = RINO

Yep, I think I've heard she's up to like 35 years of service now. That must be a record and should be upheld as a milestone.

Oh this election is so sad it makes me want to cry.

Funny, that's what I say about the Democrats -they all became Republicans with a (D) after their name...

I don't think there are any real Republicans left. They all became Democrats with Republican credentials.

well..now that Fred is out of the race, I'm going to vote for Ron Paul.

he may be a bit weird, but perhaps thats what we need.

someone to throw a wrench into their sprocket.

I'm tired of the bickering between the parties..the power plays and the money grubbing and the behind the back deals... All at the expense of us, the "unwashed masses".

The elitist attitude that I've seen coming out of Washington DC these days sickens me.

Its past time for us to change out these folks for some good natured people that actually want to do something constructive with our taxes instead of lining their own pockets and making sure that we can never force a change in government.

Even President Bush has no respect for the Constitution as evinced by the brief submitted in the Heller vs DC gun ban case.

Folks call Ron Paul a wing nut..but they'd call our own forefathers that today if they were here.

I suggest voting for someone who might actually get the nomination - and, who knows, might beat Hillary. Protest votes in Florida for Ralph Nader cost Gore the 2000 election. You really need to vote for a viable candidate.

If this was 1800, Ron Paul would be main-line. But his foreign policy is so goofy in today's world that I don't think it can be described as just a bit weird. It's totally stupid. He's just a flake. If he actually was elected, he'd be far worse than even Jimmy Carter.

I agree with that...I really thought it was ridiculous that Billary and Bobama was constantly attacking each other few nights ago during the debates but it was kinda funny to see them act childish about little things...

thats a carefully illustrated, mutual act to get there faces on tv more then the others.as stupid and as useless as them bickering is to this nation,i only wish the r's would be smart enough to start a childish fight so they could get more air time.even if the air time has no importance to the future of this country.its sad that the ones with the most airtime gets the votes, insted of the ones that can go on to do great things...
