What is a MKM rifle?

I was looking at my grandpas discharge papers from 1940s and it says he was using a MKM rifle. What is a MKM rifle

mkm stands for marksman qualification usually followed by a rifle type like an 03 springfield, 1917, or garand, m1 something like that.

it probaly means he just qualified marksman my dad was expert on m14 and 1911 should have a little pin with a hanger showing what weapons they qualified with not sure about in ww2 tho dads was veitnam era.if you have any of the medals or unforms left. his medal just says rifle and pistol it was on what ever rifle they trained with in the time he went in probably a m1 or a springfield
