I know I'm getting old and out of touch but I had to open this thread to see if I could find out just what a EMO kid is. Struck out there. Pwned and FB are a bit mysterious as well. Pawned and football? I'll have to call one of my kids to clue me in. They speak a strange language too. I did get a chuckle out of the comment from Ryan Smith though so all's not lost.

EMO is slang for Emotional. It's the kids who wear the tight pants, dark clothes, and think their little world is crashing in around them because no one understands them. We use to call them drama queens.

PWNED is internet slang for OWNED (as in someone just told you off) It's often done as PWN because it's used alot in online gaming and because P and O are next to each other on the keyboard it became a common typo.

ahhh...ok got it....when I was in school we called them WEIRDOS and GAY. When my kids were in school...these were the kids in line at the NURSES OFFICE to get their meds dosed out so they could function in school and life...sad really. So now they're our gran kids and we call them EMO...first time I heard the term...I thought someone was referencing Sesame Street...but no...that was ELMO

That had me laughing so hard that I could hardly tell my wife why I was laughing hysterically.

There are some subtle differences in a few of the groups, but the EMO kids are definitely the ones with the make-up, hair, and "woe is me" attitude. When I was in school we had "skaters" "goths" "preppies" and so forth. I was, for a while, a skater kid. Basically I wore Airwalk shoes, JNCO jeans, and band t-shirts and hoodies for about 2 years and had an earring. That wasn't a lifestyle for me though it was just how I dressed sometimes. I still had ZERO problem throwing on the Wranglers, boots, and jumping into the truck to go fishing lol

LOL people used to call me that when they'd get mad at me from our group. I never understood it, I was like aren't we all posing as something simply by dressing in any fashion? That always shut them up.
