Uppers on PK Firearms

Anyone purchase anything from PKfirearms.com. I'm dizzy with the array of AR options, but they have a mid-length RRA A4 upper,16" chrome-lined barrel (1/7 twist) for $499 with charging handle and bcg. Is this a decent enough deal? They also have one for $599 with a 12" YHM diamond rail. I shoot mainly handguns and I'm not sure how much time I'll make to shoot this thing so I'm thinking of getting the $499 one and avoiding any fancy optics or tactical do-dads for awhile. I like quality but I also want to start simple.

My past dealings with PKfirearms have always been good, though it has been with Sabre products not RRA.

For the best value right, especially dealing with lightweight barrels, I don't think you can beat Bravocompanyusa.com. $385 for a lightweight midlength upper, $520 with BCG and charging handle.

I've also had many positive transactions with PK Firearms .......... excellent service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based solely on my own experience.

I've also owned 3 RRA ARs with excellent results .......... Predator Pursuit, Coyote and 458SOCOM. I can't comment on your upper selections as I've not owned one but you really can't go wrong. You'll hear good and bad opinions with just about everything AR related. And your right, the options are mind boggling! Everyone has their own opinion as well - which makes it even more difficult to know which one is "right" for you. I'm always asking opinions and looking things up ......... just take your time and ask lot's of questions .......... the only "dumb" question is the one you don't ask.

There are many good quality brands at reasonable prices for the average Joe ......... and you can always UPGRADE. I'm not an avid shooter nor do I have a ton of AR experience, so I mainly stick with RRA and Bushmaster - but only because I have had good results so far.
