Looking for Definsive or Tactical Carbine / Rifle Course Near Tri-Cities, TN

Hey everyone,

Just got my AR-15 complete and want to take a 2 or 3 day defensive or tactical carbine / rifle course. I know of tactical response outside of Nashville, but that's over 5 1/2 hours away from the Tri-Cities. Anyone have any other training suggestions that might be closer to me in TN, VA, NC, SC, KY, GA?

Here's a place somewhere in North Carolina... Defensive Concepts North Carolina - Firearm training and the defensive use of the handgun, rifle and shotgun.. I can't say good or bad about them as I have no personal experience with them.

This one might be right up your alley as a new carbine owner:

LMS Defense

Not sure how far that is from you; I'm not very familiar with TN...or even KY, and I live on the border of both.

Pat Rogers will be doing his Carbine Operator's Course a couple times in TN in the Columbia/Franklin area next year, and does classes in several other locations in the region, like Indiana. Check his schedule at E.A.G. Tactical I'd recommend taking his Intro class before taking the COC if you're not already fairly well versed in gun handling skills, but his breadth and depth of knowledge on the topic of fighting with a carbine are hard to match.
