Mounting Front Sight Tower on AR

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 9mm AR with a .750 barrel and it has no front sight. I'm thinking about adding a front sight tower just because I think they look better than some sort of flip up sight on the free float quad rail (just my opinion). I know that front sight towers don't come with any holes drilled in them for mounting. I don't have to worry about a gas tube or anything since it's a 9mm (blowback operation). How hard is it to drill the sight and mount one?

Can I find someone who changed out to a different gas block and use their old one on mine since I just need it as a sight?

I've got one you can have, but it has several scratches on it, from getting the fool thing off.
