Greetings all -

I am rather new to the whole firearms experience, however I found this forum and figured it was a great place to at least get started on learning more, and I really hope this doesn't turn into a really expensive hobby :D

I'm actually doing a lot of research on purchasing my first handgun, and right now I am leaning toward a glock 19 or glock 23, mainly based on what I have read and my price range. My desire is to attend a basic firearm training session with the ultimate goal of obtaining my concealed weapons permit.

Can't think of a better place to get started!! Look forward to getting to know some/all of you!!

welcome to the forum. this isnt a hobby,its a lifelong quest for the perfect gun.

Welcome aboard from a transplanted Boro person. Guns are a necessary hobby that you usually can get your money back on in the rare case you get tired of it. At least your widow can use the money.

Welcome aboard, fellow 'Boro-ite. When you're ready to take a Carry Permit class, I happen to know this guy, he teaches the classes, and posts here on the board. You'd like him, he's a nice guy. Although, he talks about himself in the third-person from time-to-time.

Thank you for the welcome and I hope you are enjoying your right to carry here. I appreciate your kindly jabs also about driving the rightwing machine. If it keeps you all involved I shall drive any of you around the park. Perhaps someday I shall be able to share with you how I got that moniker.

Again, I shall enjoy your input about your thoughts on the RTKBA and other defensive combat issues.
