Just got in from seeing James McMurtry in Asheville. Rockin show.

James McMurtry is a great American and one of my personal heroes. I've seen him twice in Memphis. Folks, if you want to hear some good, tight modern country-rock music, this is the guy. This guy can write some songs. He's as good as Dylan and Springsteen. Highly recommend his "Live in Aught-Three" album. Yeah, these were recorded in 2003 but he calls it "Aught-Three." Pretty cool.

In a similar vein, a song that I've been listening to about five times a day for the last month is John Prine's live version of "Lake Marie." Man, that's a good song. Love that song. Highly recommend downloading that one.
