Yeah, Joe Bonamassa is pretty much all I listen to, though I have been getting into Jeff Beck lately but this Blues Explosion Tour of Joe's is really enjoyable.

Thanks for the heads up. I listened to several Joe Monamassa videos last night. He's very talented and puts on a great show.

I've heard there will be a CD and DVD of this recent tour so that will be another one to add to my JB collection.

The Red Rocks 3Kings tour is very good, a must see.

I've heard that song a thousand times and never knew the name of the band. Now I know....

I hate that they have changed their sound so much. I liked them a lot better back during the way of the fist and war is the answer. After American capitalist I refused to buy another album.

I've noticed that with quite a few bands... the first 2-3 albums are great then they change their sound/style.  I guess some bands don't know when they've hit the peak.

People grow and change, it's part of life. If a band wrote the same album 4 times, most wouldn't like that either.

That said, I'm not a huge 5FDP fan but I hadn't noticed a dramatic sound change. They still write a ballad to get radio play and the rest of the songs sound like classic thrash with trademark blistering scale run riffs. Do they not do that anymore?

You sound right but I guess I don't see them being as hardcore as they used to be. I know Ivan has gone through alot of issues but their music has become way too commercialized IMO. I'm not as big into thrash and metal like I used to be.

Edit: I like Ivan better when he was with motograter and ghost machine then first two ffdp albums.

Enjoy The Silence by Depeche Mode .  The best driving song in the world if you have a Mustang SVO or Merkur XR4TI to drive with it playing in the stereo .

I probably have a much different taste in music than most of you. I love Pantera, Slayer, Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Godsmack, Metallica, Disturbed, Megadeath, Tool, Pop Evil, and many more but I also like rap music (Yo Gotti, Young Dolph, Future, G-Eazy, MGK, Yelawolf, Rick Ross, Tyler the Creator) and country (Toby Keith, Allan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Brantley Gilbert, FGL, Chase Rice, etc).

I'm all over the place in my music too.  I'll listen to old country (new stuff sucks), Jazz (Chick Corea, Dave Brubeck), Rock (old and new) and Indie-Folk/Rock (The National, Angus & Julia Stone, Daughter, Greg Laswell, Sarah Jaffe) and Alternative (Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Cure, Clan Of Xymox, Depeche Mode)

Speaking of Depeche Mode, here's another band that put out great music up until Violator.  Each album was better than the previous, but after Violator, they really changed.  I think there was only 2 songs on "Songs Of Faith And Devotion" that were good (IMHO)  Ultra really sucked.  After that, I quit listening to them.

I really just like hearing something while I drive. I can't drive in silence and most of my new music comes from hearing it at parties and other people playing it. I'd say 60℅ of the music on my phone is for other people. I have an iPod and CDs that I have my music on.

Not as different as you might think. As a former band geek, I like to think I prefer more musical music.  But I'm also a metal head and a really bad guitar player.

I like most "classic rock", metal as long as it doesn't involve lots of unintelligible screaming, blues (old and new), some jazz (mostly trumpet jazz from my band days), upbeat classical stuff, bluegrass as long as the singing isn't too twangy,  prog and virtuoso guitar as long as it's not weird just for the sake of weird, country (leaning toward southern rock), and even some folk music that usually involves bagpipes.  I'll even admit to liking some rap though it's very limited to stuff with a good groove or hilarious lyrics.
