Out grew stuff like that. No offense but I think that type of thing is childish. I drank for alot of years and was an alchi. Been sober five years. Last time I drank anything was three miller lites at the TN vs Oregon tail gate party have not had a beer since and dont intend to. I felt bad for even having those three. I felt immature as all hell to be perfectly honest. Not trying to make anyone mad that is just how I feel about it. By the way it took me three hours to drink those three beers.

Congratulations on 5 years of soberity....

However I don't think that everyone that has a drink is immature.

But I also don't feel then need to rain on other's parades either.....

Absolutely. Drinking with the sole purpose of getting drunk, maybe. But enjoying a beer, glass of wine, or a mixed drink on occasion? We have had more than one alcoholic in my family, so I know what it can do, but some people are able to handle it better than others. If you're not among them and you are able to abstain, my hat is off to you. But if if you enjoy a cold one while watching the game in your living room in your recliner while munching on some game time vittles, I only have one question: When should I be there?
