It must be the provider again. I'll have to email and see if they had a scheduled outage that they forgot to tell me about. :)

Yup,

Kept saying something to the effect down for maintenance will be back up in a few minutes and a few minutes turned into over 10 hours.

I find it hilarious that whenever TGO goes down we are all on here going "thank God it is back up" as soon as we can. Like a bunch of crackheads we are, LOL.

Same here .......... kept checking in during football ......... started to get the shakes at 9PM ............ checked every 20 minutes up to midnight, then again at 1:30am

Hmm... if there was a vBulletin maintenance notice there may have been an issue with our nightly backup script. I'll look into it.

Was dead from 7:30 am yesterday when I checked to see if any last min messages re the East TN get together until I crashed about 2 am.

Was an "unsigned" maintenance message, a "be back in a few min" thing.

So, far as I know, was dead for at least 18 hours.

Was also briefly dead just a few minutes ago for 5 or 10 min, with your "signed" maintenance message.

What I saw was a white bar across teh top that said in red letters:

ATTENTION: The forums are off! or something to that effect.

I haven't been able to get back in here until now, since Friday, middle of the day.

We had a tech out here Saturday, from Charter, and he said Charter's system IS having problems ( have known that for more than a week now. :nervous: ), but the message concerning the forums was the one mentioned above. ( Unrelated to Charter's issues, as far as I know.. )

Anyway, are we back to what's laughingly referred to as "normal" here? :tough:

AFAIK, I couldn't get on here at all since late late Friday night, early Saturday morning. I was signed in, but got message saying something similar to what OhShoot posted!

Well, there was no way I could have even known about it or fixed it since I was driving from Oklahoma at about 4:30am and didn't stop driving until about 3:30pm when I made it back to middle TN. Sorry it was down for you guys.

Doesn't look like it was hosting related. Looks like the backup script failed. I have it coded to close the forum before the backup and open it after the backup. It failed and then never re-opened.

Good detective work David. Glad you figured the problem out. I hate it when something I've written has those 'I can't reproduce it no matter what' bugs.
