Where is the best place to get a copy of your birth certificate either online or locally? I live in Knoxville and was born in Oak Ridge. Also, how much money are we talking about? Thanks for your help!

One of the guys I used to work with needed a copy of his for this HCP. He went to the "Public Health" clinic and got his there. He was born in Cleveland, TN and got a copy in Cookeville. I think the cost was around $10.

Locally, call your city Health department.

I think that short version is something like 12$ and long one 16 or 20$

Go to the Health Department on Dameron Ave. off of N. Central St. near the National Cemetery

call the local health department of the city/state you were born in. in normally takes 2 weeks to get a certified copy by mail. i had to have mine to get my HCP as well and i was born in Ohio and my original was lost in a house fire. i emailed my cousin, and all she had to do was go to the health department with my name, birthdate and both my parents names and they issued her the certified copy right then. scary huh? and people wonder how the hell identity theft ever happens.
