I just picked up a 15 round magazine for my Sig 226 .40.

I have been carrying my 226 with 12 round magazines. With winter approaching I like to carry my 226 about every where. But I have been want more capacity so I picked up 15 rounder today. I have not tested it yet but I have high hopes for it.

It does not increase the size very much.

It is a Mec-Gar MGP2264015AFC

I like the 15 round mec-gars a lot. I wish I could find a better baseplate for my 12 round mags.

I too like the cooler weather. During hot weather I can't carry IWB during the work week. When winter gets here sweaters and vests make it easy.

The military community suggest loading any magazine with 1 or 2 less than capacity for better reliability in a life or death situation. Just something to consider.

Yeah I'm definitely going to need to see some sort of statistics or documentation that loading a mag to it's full capacity somehow decreases it's reliability...

It might just be a personal decision on whether to increase the odds of living through a gun fight.
