I put an IOR on my Larue upper, It is a 4x24 with the etched reticle. The thing is awesome! I have it hooked up to a larue scope mount. I like Ior, they are tough as nails! I am not gentle with my ar's yet this thing has not lost it's original zero, from two years ago! These things are build like a tank!

Good luck!

As far as a red dot, I have three Burris Fastfire two, for the price, you can't beat them!

I know that the 3x25 is adjustable, but when it comes to red dots in that grouping, my vote is for eotac.

Just my two cents!

Thanks for the feedback.

Is the IOR good and bright optically down toward twilight? How does it do at nite with the lighted reticle? I've never looked thru one. I suspect that with the glass they use; they are extremely clear and bright.

We've got an EOTec on our H-BAR, and i agree with your assessment. I really like it. I'm thinkin about rolling the dice and buying one of the IOR's because the price is about $200 bucks, and we dont have an "Aimpoint" type setup on anything. The IOR price flogs both EOTec and Aimpoint by over half. The IOR stuff may be the ticket for a less expensive reddot that is real high quality and tough to boot. They might be the ticket for a shotgun too. If they can stand the bushmaster, they will probably be alright for the shotgun.

Many thanks,

Leroy

I have to say, that during dusk, it is bright as hell! The optics on it are crystal clear and the reticle is awesome for the range finding. I have the same on mine. Once you dial that thing it, Katie bar the door!

Yes, as far as the glass! If I remember correctly Holenstadt(forgive my spelling) in Germany makes the glass for them. The scope that I have has seven adjustments and works great! I have seen and used other lighted reticles and they are not as good as the Ior's.

Just my two cents!

Good Luck! I think that you can not go wrong with an IOR. I think that they issue 4x24 to some nato troops.. I think that says alot also!
