I'm looking for a class around Knoxville or up to 50 miles west of Knoxville. Or is there a listing for this?

Thanks

John

I'd recommend Phantom6, he's a sponsor here on the board and runs a class out of Oak Ridge.

I vote for phantom as well. I wish I knew him before I took my class. And I say that even though I took a very good class run by the sherriff's office.

Yep Phantom is the man!

If the members are recommending phantom then I would say they're right. Since I am new here and don't know of phantom, I'll tell you I took my class down in Vonore at Farnsworth Firearms. The instructor was from Maryville(well, Blount County) and was excellent. Class took about 6 hours of classroom time and then range time. Because there are only 6 lanes and we had over 30 in our class, the range time was dependant. I got lucky and was in the 2nd group on the range. Got done around 4:00Pm(started at 9:00)

Same here........I've had the pleasure to watch Phantom6 in action at our E. TN TGO meets and I feel highly confident in his abilities as an instructor. I recommend everyone that ask to call Mike.

I took Phantom6's class last April having never shot a handgun in my life and passed without a problem. He is a great teacher and gets my vote for sure.

True, Coal Creek does have one and I think it's a bit cheaper, plus they have the range right there. With Phantom you have to take a little trip to the range. But from what I've read, Phantom is more recommended.

I took a course at Pellissippi State and my instructor was with the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office...It was pretty good class and it was cheaper. Even though everybody's recommending Phantom, I'd go with him since I've heard great reviews about him. JMO.
