Different Ranges?

There are a ton of great tips and techniques on the forums. I know I am new and maybe haven't searched deep enough, but I can't seem to find anywhere that would allow most of the training to be done.

What I mean is, if you do a search of training techniques to incorporate at the range, most would directly violate the rules of the range. I know if I went to my local range (it's an indoor) and tried shooting from a prone position around a corner weakhanded, I would probably be banned for life. There is also lots of encouragement to practice engaging while on the move, but again most ranges have dedicated stalls that require you to remain standing and stationary. These are great places to learn accuracy, but I am seeking a place that will allow me to train for real world self-defense.

So, does anyone know of anywhere you can go and conduct such training? I don't mind paying a range to go and to perform these drills. However, if there are any "unofficial" places to go I wouldn't mind finding out about them either. I know growing up my Dad and I used to go to an old dry riverbed in the boonies to shoot...
