I have a GSG-5 I bought used. A pre-lawsuit one. Works great and a lot more fun than I ever thought it would be. I mainly run Remington or Federal ammo through it with no problems. Around the 300 rd. mark I take a toothbrush and run it up the mag well and in the ejection port to do a quick scrub and oil. Mine I have noticed likes to run a little wet.

My boys really love it. :)

I call it my "Fake & K". LOL!!

Go ahead and get the GSG-5 it is a ton of fun and a real head turner at the range. Federal Bulk runs great as well as Remington Thunderbolt. Had some trouble with Winchester bulk packs for some reason. Does prefer to have some oil in the action to run smooth. I have the rifle version, but they make a pistol that looks like fun. Mine was pre-lawsuit too. Did they change something after the lawsuit?

So your first post you are trying to sell a gun?

On the topic I really think the GSG-5 looks sweet when SBR'd. Just don't know if it would be worth the money.

yea why not... i have a spikes stripped lower i am trying to build... (first AR) and really don't shoot the GSG hardly, it is a fun gun to shoot and love the looks when i take it to the range... I'm glad i did get one of the pre-law suit ones though... i hate the grips on the new ones. i think they changed the sights also... it's heavy too...never held a real HK but i would say the weight is probley the same.

H&K is coming out with its' own version of the MP5 in .22 cal so I will be waiting to get their version. I have heard nothing but good things about the gsg-5. I would not hesitate to buy one if I were you.

H&K 22 Rimfire - Home

Due out late spring. Gives us time to save more money. I may try the MP5 and 416 instead of replacing my M&P 15-22.
