NRA Member or Not? Poll

I'm a NRA member, and I ALSO have one of my firearms instructor certifications through the NRA as well....

Simply put, I believe in the right to keep and bear arms, and I believe that the 2nd. Amendment means what it says, that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

I also strongly respect the opinions of others, and I respect and understand that not everyone has the same views as I do. To me, I see NO advantages to being unarmed. If I'm unarmed, then that means that I'm at the mercy of those who wish to do me harm, and/or I'm going to rely on someone else for my defense, but the way GOD made me, neither of those situations sits well with me.

Second, if we are disarmed as a people and as a nation, then we will be at the mercy of those who have disarmed us. Back during the time of the Third Reich, the Jewish people found themselves at the mercy of the people who disarmed them, and it didn't work out to good for them.....

So, I intend to keep my guns, and I respect the NRA because it has always been the premier organization fighting for this right. Is it a perfect organization? No, it's not, but then I've never been part of ANY man made organization that was perfect, and on top of all of that, I ain't perfect either!!!!

Once again, I have every respect for those who have different views...

Yup, I'm a member. I like what they are doing regarding training and education. My wife and several of my children are members. Don't send 'em money every time they ask (at least once a month) but I send them some bucks 2-3 times per year.
