I think I saw the Masaad video on you tube. That man is wise. I have read or watched as much of his stuff as I can find. Masaad says a 20 gauge is better than a 12 gauge! The only difference is that a 20 is faster and a 12 gauge chews up the flesh in to smaller pieces. Anything bigger than a 380 will shatter a mans hip bone and send him straight to the dirt. Crippled. If you miss the hip bone and hit his nutsack, all the better. Google Masaad Ayoob.

Masaad also says you'll be shot by simply pulling up your pants.

If that were true then we wouldn't have as many fat and old guys running around :D

I've actually met him and talked to him. Nice guy. I don't always agree with everything he says, but he is a good person to read.

8 Shoots with 45acp and he walk out of the hospital 3 days later! WOW. Did he stop his attack? That's what it's all about. Stopping the attack, whether the attacker dies or not is inconsiquential.

Dont know if he stopped the attack but I know he will be feeling it for a long long time and will have a nice reminder when he goes to the bathroom.

I've carried a Walther PPK's in .380 ACP before, it wasn't the caliber that turned me against the pistol, but the quality of the pistol I'd purchased. Other's have them and never had a minute's problem, mine was simply a lemon. The .380 is a tolerable defensive round, larger would be better of course, but most of the pistol's in larger calibers are bigger as well. There are exception's, but you have tradeoff's pertaining to controllability and accuracy with the smaller pocket rocket's. Confused? No worry, its all about experence, training and practice, your starting donw the roadway already.

Just for kicks and giggles, look at the XD Service in 9 or 40. Shoot it in IDPA, but you can carry it as well. It's really not THAT much bigger than the PK380. Major benefit being you're always practicing with the same weapon. Also peek at the M&P Service, as it is slightly thinner than the XD.
