I just acquired a Mossberg 500a 12g pump. Its a 24" barrel ported, full choke, drilled and tapped for a scope.

Here is the thing. It is factory camo but in a military type army camo, not a realtree or duck grass camo??????

I cant find any info of mossberg making a military type camo'd edition. But it is factory, that I know for sure.

It is the accu choke, newer model because of the drill and tap. On the barrel it is stamped:

---12 GA - 24 IN. ACCU-CHOKE ---

What is this camo model?????

My father-in-law recently got a rifle and a shotgun cammoflauged. Apparently, he has a neighbor that works somewhere that puts Mossy Oak cammo finish on guns. This guy did both of the guns for free and did an amazing job.

If I hadn't seen the guns beforehand, I'd swear this stuff was put on at the factory. So, I'm just curious, how can you tell it's from the factory?

BTW...I recently got the same model in wood/blue with a 28" ported barrel. They are pretty good guns for the price, huh?

had a mossberg 835 with that "woodland" camo pattern it was an early 90s model. Fella i work with has the same model gun with that pattern. So mossberg did use that pattern in the early-mid 90s.

pretty sure its called woodland or maybe 2 words wood land.
