17s & 20s?

Anyone here shooting subcalibers esp. 17 & 20s? What cartridges are you shooting, how did you decided on them and how are you using them (hunting, paper poking, ??)?

Im getting ready for a couple project rifles...a small 17 first and then a 20 Vartarg. (Actually all of the wildcats, at least those Ive seen so far, based on the 221 seem interesting.)

The 17 project came out of the desire to have a flexible CF version of the 17HMR -- something that can be loaded up/down depending on need. So far the 17AH (22 Hornet parent case) and 17 Velociraptor (5.7x28 parent case) seem like they might do. Im still open to other choices though.

The VarTarg is one of those 'just b/c I like it' rifles. Although it does have great appeal in efficiency/speed. It should come in handy for vermin sniping across my hay fields.

OK then...no one??? I thought such a diverse crowd would have at least a couple small caliber types.

In addition to the bolt guns I mentioned Id also like to build an AR upper in 20 Tac. Has anyone gone that route, building an AR upper in a subcaliber?

Hey, thanx for the reply! Glad you like your .20 upper. How was it that you decided on the 204? Ive been looking at a 20TAC for my AR. Ive heard its a shoe in for that weapon. Are you using your rig for hunting at all?
