I tried to install a new grip today....well it didnt go so well. I got the new grip on and now the saftey will not go back on safe (when cocked). I reinstalled orginal grip..still the same problem. I install the detent and spring correctly (positve of it) it will change from safe to fire but not back again. however if I loosen the grip it will change (doesn't matter if grip screw is installed or not)

Are you using the washer with the screw when reinstalling the grip?

The screw is probably going in too deep in the lower and bottoming out on the

selector. That will cause what you mention. There enough threads up in there

to us a thicker washer, also.

I did use the washer but it even binds with out the screw installed (just holding the grip in place) and it does seem like the spring is putting too much pressure on the detent but it's not bent or anything and the spring seems to sit exactly same in any grip I choose. It like the detent is just going in too far. I dont know what else to check. I havn't had anything else apart and it's never been fired.

ok I replaced the selector and detent and all is well now. I dont know what was wrong but I'm quiet sure I didn't do it!

I believe it was the selector lever that was the problem as the detent is mangled!! the point of the detent is now worn off!! with new detent and selector installed every thing is smooth as a babies butt!
