I really don't care about cost I care about taste. I'll drink Bud Light and Coors light, but my preference is Guinness. When it comes to liquor I can be about the same except for Vodka. I like expensive vodka. I've gotten pretty set though on Guinness and Jameson.

You like jameson better than Bushmill's?

I'd expect nothing less from a Mick like you. :)

I've never had it. Don't believe I've ever seen it actually. What's the differences?

:D

I'm crap at breaking down tastes. My palate isn't sophisticated enough. I just know what I like.

It does give me an idea for the next time we hang out. McGuiness should have all 3 at the bar. :)

Back in my wilder days I drank hannah and hogg vodka by the half gallon. At around $10 per half gallon it was about as cheap a weekend as you could have. Once mixed in a cherry limeade from sonic it was the nectar of the gods to me. I did occassionally fight inanimate objects while drinking it though.

Me too. I like Bushmill's better than Jameson. Only had TD a couple of times, and that was in Irish Coffee. Don't really have an opinion on it yet.

I drink the "other" Tennessee bourbon, George Dickle :)

No such thing as Tennessee bourbon. George Dickel and Jack Daniels are "filtered" through sugar maple charcoal, which makes them a Tennessee whiskey. The US govt recognised Tennessee whiskey as a seperate style in 1941.

Yuengling just bought the old Coors brewery in Memphis.

It's not totally finalized yet, but all signs point to yes on that one! EPPIIICCCC WIIINNNNN!:shake::eek::rock:;);):):panic:

Now maybe we can get all their beers here instead of just Lager, Light Lager and Black and Tan.

In my younger days I'd drink whatever was offered. Traveling around the world it could be made out of almost anything. Some would make a dog barf. Now since I am limited in my drinking I'm a little more controlled. Red stripe in the summer, Dunkel and Guiness in the fall and winter. Jack Daniels, Jaimison,Bushmills whenever I feel the desire. I still partake in the odd ethnick brew/spirit on occasion. Life is too short not to enjoy the best.

Cheers,

tad

i'm picky when it comes to booze ....

I normally have some sort of wheat beer in my hand come 8pm .... Blue Moon, Shock Top, Purple Haze, etc...

Love the wheat beers. But I'll take Hoegaarden over Blue Moon. Boulevard makes a pretty good wheat too. Love the Purple Haze. One of the very few "fruited" beers I will drink.

I would rather drink water than But Light.

I wasn't aware there was a difference. :poop:

I like to actually taste my beer, so the Bud/Miller/Coors stuff is not an option.

Guinness, Sam Adams (particularly Octoberfest), Newcastle Brown, Blue Moon, are some of my favorites.

Sam sure does make a good Octoberfest. Another great one I tried recently was Victory Hop Devil. It's not for the faint of heart. It says Hop Devil for a reason. If you love hoppy beer, try it. Now. No seriously, go.

I don't like very many IPAs, but Hop Devil is pretty darned good. I love me some Octoberfest, got another 12 pack stashed away and that'll be it until next year.

So the president of Anheuser-Busch, the president of Molson Coors, and the president of Guinness Brewery all go out to lunch one day to discuss the state of the beer industry.

The waiter comes to take their order, and the president of Anheuser-Busch orders a Bud Light. The president of Molson Coors orders a Coors light. Finally, the waiter turns to the president of Guinness Brewery who orders a glass of water.

The waiter leaves, and the two presidents of Anheuser-Busch and Molson Coors look at the president of Guiness Brewery with a dumbfounded look.

The president of Guiness Brewery looks back at them and says, "What? I figured if you guys weren't drinking, I shouldn't either."
