Cheap Booze!

Am I the only one here that enjoys cheap booze? Seems that every thread where alcohol is the mentioned everyone starts naming stuff that I'm unable to pronounce.

My beer comes from the gas station cooler, which is usually Bud or Bud light in bottles.

My wine comes from the local winery, which is usually Chattanooga Blush.

You're young. I once bought 15 cases of Inglenook Chablis for $8.00 a case. We drank white wine out of beer mugs. As I've grown older and my liver has become less efficient I have decided that life is too short to drink cheap liquor or wine with the picture of a smiling animal on the label. That being said, I still enjoy PBR and Yeungling.

My philosophy is drink what you like.

Your beer is higher up on the shelf than what I buy, but I do get a chuckle out of your preference for pink wine. Pink wine? really?

Back in the early 80's I worked for a beer distributor. We got Coors about 1984 and it came in loaded on refrigerated train cars.

We had a carload that completely shifted and the beer was all over the car. We had so much breakage that we drank free beer for about 8 months. I remember loading the back of a long bed pick up full of Coors Light, stopping by the local Coke bottler so a friend of mine could top it off with ice, and heading out to the local TVA lake. Everybody on the water was drinking free beer that weekend...lol.

About the only 'wine' that I drink is Mad Dog which I can get at the drive-thru mart on the way home. 3 bucks a night is about as cheep as one can get for inebriation!

The blush I keep is favored by my 'girlfriend... but it is still pretty good though.

Oh, and I'm not against drinking Nasty light as long as it's after a couple Buds

I enjoy a mix of it all. Sometimes I just want a Miller Lite and other times I want a Yazoo or something from Dogfish Head. As far a liquor goes I generally drink middle/upper shelf. But there is nothing like some good cheap hunch punch at a college party or tailgate.

first beer i ever drank was a pbr, i was such a light weight 1/2 of it got me buzzing (back in the early 70's). drank just about everything around bier wise, went to Orleans and both stuff you couldn't get east of the Mississippi. Now days, its Icehouse, natty lite, or my infamous homemade wheats & ales:cheers:. As for wine, a good mellow red, Merlot, Valpolcello, Shiraz - all homemade of course. I like a little Crown from time to time, friend just game me a gallon of George Dickel which is ok. probably my day to day is Old Charter Reserve, yummy.........:stare:

Buffalo Trace isn't low end bourbon. I'm a Booker's guy, but not because it's expensive. It really is my favorite.

Well, I know I can easily spend 2x as much for Maker's Mark, but if I wanted to drink kerosene, I'd just drink kerosene - it's cheaper.

hehe
