Mine is really frustrating me. it has always occassionally not worked properly, but in the lst week or so it has just given up any normality whatsoever. It will not open or close using either remote. And to get it to close inside you have to push and hold the button until it closes, or it will start back up aas soon as you stop pushing. It is really frustrating me. just wondering if anyone here has had the same problem and what you did to fix it? Thanks

How old is it? It doesn't sound like the "beams" are out of alignment. If you press and release the button, do the light flash at all or does the door just return to the open position?

Usually, if the beams are out of alignment, once the door returns to full open it will flash the lights to let you know there was a problem.

Maybe it's just time for a new one?

Well, I looked at the beam modules, and they looked to be lined up and both have the lights on when open. So I cleaned the lenses and now it seems to be working ok. So maybe just dirty lens? Anyway thanks for the help guys.
