Federal ammunition

I was out shooting this weekend when a buddy of mine handed me a box of s&w 40 federal ammunition. I normally shoot CCI. I've never used it before, but it seemed ok for range stuff I was doing. The one thing I noticed is that it is fairly dirty with residue and whatnot. It shot well through my SW40 and had no duds or malfunctions at all. I was quite impressed considering you can get it at wally world for about $15. Does anyone else shoot this stuff?

Are you asking if anyone else shoots Federal Ammunition? I'd say lots of people do since it's one of the larger/more popular ammo producers.

Federal and CCI are more or less one in the same since they are both owned by the same company. ATK - Security and Sporting Group

I have mostly shot the 180 grain Federal from walmart that is $14.97 a box. Never have had a jam or issue while shooting it in my G27. However I have found I am not as accurate with it as I have been with some other ammo.

Nope, no dirtier than many others.

I've shot beau coup of it in 9mm, .30-30, .223, and .22.

Matter of fact, without the Federal selection at Wally's, I couldn't afford to shoot nearly as much as I have over the last couple years.

that's why you should start reloading, then you could shoot for even cheaper!!!!

Yeah, but then I might not find time to actually go shoot anywhere. Seems that may have happened to you!
