The wife and I already took advantage of early voting. I love early voting - much shorter lines (if any) and you have several dates to choose from.

Voted for a Republican: (Dr. Scott - Abe Lincoln Jeff Davis needs to go - even his name says two-faced)

a Demorat. (Windle - fairly good record, service in Iraq, and only token opposition)

an Indie (Duck, it was between him and Twofeathers - I won't vote RINO DINO)

I'm goin tomorrow if nothing happens to prevent it.

I was waiting to hear what the folks who were at the TFA meeting thought of Haslam Monday night. I couldn't go so I wanted to see if they felt good about him.

Allow me to get up on my soap box for a moment. Please go vote, but study the issues and candidates. You can almost always find a sample ballot online at the county election commision website or the local paper website. Print it out, figure out which is the best candidate to support, and read and understand teh issue before voting on them.

It drives me nuts when I hear people talking and one says "Who you voting for?" and the other says "I don't know, I'll figure it out when I get there." This almost always means they are going to randomly pick someone because they have no clue. Or they are presented with an issue written in leagalese that nobody understands, and just press "For" because if the City wants it, it must be OK.

And, it is OK to not vote on something if you don't understand it. Your ballot is not nullified if there are unanswered choices. An unanswered choice may be better than selecting the wrong thing.

OK, soapbox dismounted.

Going to vote Monday. I actually saw a line today where I vote.

May be a good turnout.
